Our why

We believe that nobody should be denied the opportunity to improve their nutritional health with cancer because they lacked access to the right knowledge, guidance or support.

How

By providing free, evidenced-based cancer nutrition education and practical resources that are accessible to everyone, everywhere.

Our vision

We envision a future where no one faces cancer alone, confused or unsupported when it comes to nutrition.

A future where every person, regardless of where they live or what they can afford has free access to the knowledge and guidance they need to protect their nutritional health, maintain strength and approach treatment with confidence.

Because when people are fighting cancer, access to good nutrition information should never be a privilege, it should be available to everyone.

Our mission

To ensure that no one facing cancer is left without the nutrition knowledge, guidance, and support they need to give themselves the best possible chance.

We exist to bridge the gap between specialist cancer nutrition care and those who may never have access to it, providing free, evidence-based resources that empower people to maintain their strength, support their treatment and improve their quality of life.

We believe that access to trusted nutrition information should never be determined by finances, geography or circumstance.

Our mission is simple: to make life-changing cancer nutrition knowledge available to everyone.

Background

Cancer changes everything.

In a matter of days, people can find themselves navigating appointments, scans, treatments, side effects, difficult decisions and an overwhelming amount of information. During one of the most challenging periods of their lives, many people are simply trying to make sense of what comes next.

Yet one thing continues to surprise me.

Despite the importance of nutrition with cancer, many people receive little or no practical guidance about how to look after themselves nutritionally. They know they should "eat well", but often don't know what that actually means, how to manage treatment side effects, how to maintain their weight or how to preserve their strength and muscle mass.

As a specialist dietitian working with people diagnosed with upper gastrointestinal cancers, I've had the privilege of supporting patients through some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

I've seen the difference that good nutritional care can make.

I've seen people maintain their strength when they feared they were wasting away. I've seen people navigate difficult symptoms with confidence instead of uncertainty. I've seen how proper nutritional support can help people prepare for treatment, tolerate treatment, recover from treatment and maintain a better quality of life throughout their cancer journey.

But, I've also seen something else.

I've seen people struggle simply because they didn't have access to the information they needed.

Not because they didn't care.

Not because they weren't trying.

Simply because nobody had shown them what to do.

That never sat right with me.

The reality is that not everyone has access to a specialist cancer dietitian. Many people are left searching the internet, trying to separate evidence from misinformation, often at a time when they feel scared, overwhelmed and vulnerable.

I believe that should change.

The Cancer Nutrition Hub was created with one simple goal: To ensure that no one who wants to improve their nutrition during cancer is held back by a lack of knowledge, access, finances or location.

Every article, guide, and video on this website has been created to provide clear, practical, evidence-based information that anyone can access free of charge.

Because when someone is facing cancer, access to trustworthy nutrition information shouldn't depend on where they live, what they earn, or whether they can afford specialist support.

Everyone deserves the opportunity to give themselves the best possible nutritional foundation for treatment, recovery and quality of life.

If this website helps even one person feel more informed, more confident, and more supported on their journey, then it has achieved exactly what it was created to do.

For every patient I've had the privilege to support, and for every person who may never have access to a specialist dietitian, this resource is for you.

What our people are saying

I never thought I could grow my own herbs indoors, but this course made it so simple. Now I cook with fresh basil and mint every week!

Emma L.

This course completely changed the way I see plants. I used to buy flowers that would die within weeks, but now I understand how to care for them.
